How Is Take-Home Pay Calculated in Alberta?
Federal and Alberta provincial tax are calculated using progressive brackets. CPP (5.95% on applicable earnings) and EI (1.66% on insurable earnings) are also deducted. Net salary = gross minus federal tax, provincial tax, CPP, EI, and any RRSP or pre-tax deductions. Each calculator below uses current Alberta tax rates for accurate estimates.
